does anyone have any links or leads on some custom body kits or aftermarket hoods? I live in the middle of the Mojave desert and my engine bay stays hot. My interior temp, with 5% tint, is sometimes OVER 150 degrees when I get in it…. I am having a set of 1” hood spacers made to raise the back of my hood up to allow more air flow, but I want a better vented hood, so before I do it myself, and cut this one up… I was just curious if anyone had anything out there. I don't know of any, but spacing up the back of the hood is pretty normal in the drift world to try and get hot air out.

inside there's not much you can do out there. I've seen 160deg in mine parked in the sun at the end of work. if you can put a sun shade on the outside of the windshield while parked, it will help, inside not as much.

Isn't there a new-ish window tint that specifically brags about infrared blocking properties?

I have my front window done in clear ceramic. it doesn't seem to help with heat. but oddly it is the only thing I can drive without reaching for sun glass the min I sit down.

cars are one big green house. I've seen tests where you can slightly slow done how hot it gets inside, but it will eventually get hot parked in the sun when it's 115deg out.

That’s where I got the idea for the hood spacers, a buddy of mine runs a heavily modified rsx with 1” spacers… I like the look and I know it will help with the heat. I’m thinking to try my luck at making my own carbon fiber hood with some sort of vents, or just cutting into my stock one….

absolutely, my truck has the 5% on the front 2 windows and 5% on top of whatever the stock tint is in the back, and I can’t wear sunglasses in there or I can’t see anything on my dashboard.

I was thinking to do the ceramic on the windshield, maybe 60%, I haven’t really looked into it at all yet
