unless you have a really load engine or your music on all the time you cant miss the auto ride leveling out everytime you start up your tahoe. When i turn mine on within 10 to 15 seconds after starting it you can hear the compressor filling them up. usually doesnt take long to o if you dont have anything in there except for you but it takes a bit i ve noticed when i got a trailer hooked up on mine. I think on 2002 and earlier it says right on the trim badge(example: mine is labeled LT and in small print underneath says autoride). My friend just bought an 2003 but it doesnt say autoride anywhere on it but it still has the feature. Does anyone know if this is part of the luxury feature or the towing package?
thanks Eagle. I have G65 and ZW7. How will this affect me when I lower it? I ordered a kit that has keys up front and 4" springs w/ shhock ext and shorter bumpstops for the back. will i have any problems?
you need replacement shocks also.
otherwise the shocks will add extra spring rate making it ride stiff as a buckboard,
and they will lift the truck back up 2 inches
(4" drop - 2inch extender= 2 inches too low on the shock)
they are to give you some of the shock travel back,
but the g65 shocks are special... they pump your ride height up if your truck is 'loaded' / riding lower than stock.
in any case, on a nivomat system, he shocks and springs are a package deal...
