Again, that is why I said "some of us". IMO, speaking like that on a regular basis shows lack of awareness of your surroundings and laziness. I will be in the ground at just the right time. This world is in the wrong hands.Dude, that's heavy. Like, I didn't know that was, like, offensive to anyone here.
Seriously. I never knew that was a thing. I should be more careful. It's annoying, for sure.
Hello everyone, I'm mainly here on a good friend of mines behalf. She bought a 2007 Tahoe off a local guy. Her Tahoe is having all kinds of issues. From a misfire (working on that as we speak) to the cargo hatch not working at all....plus other issues. So when the need rises I appreciate any input or insight you folks can share with me. I'm just trying to help fix it for her bc she's a single mom.
I have always been curious about these small vxdiag type tools that connect to a laptop versus an xtool, autel, launch ~$500 tool. Have you compared it to any of those?+1 on @donjetman I bought an 07 suburban from a buddy for $1500 just to turn around three weeks later and put a junkyard motor in it.
Granted I knew it was shot when I bought it, but still. I thought I'd get more time out of it
Do what I did and buy a vxdiag nano off amazon for 140 bucks and an older Windows 7 32 bit laptop for another 100 (or less depending on what's in your closet or local deals). It'll do 90% of what the tech2/mdi/mdi2 tools will do, and you won't have to wait two months for it to arrive on the boat. It works great. You WILL need this, or a tech2, to diag this truck properly, otherwise you're gonna end up firing the parts cannon a whole lot. Get a good multimeter too. With those two tools and a good socket set you're ready to tame this beast.
