I have always been curious about these small vxdiag type tools that connect to a laptop versus an xtool, autel, launch ~$500 tool. Have you compared it to any of those?

@smiley91 I have some experience with a fairly expensive Autel (not mine, a buddy's) and while they have a lot of utility there's some bidirectional stuff that I THINK only the tech2 or mdi2 w/GDS will do- or one of these vxdiag joints.

I haven't tried programming anything with the vxdiag yet. I can tell you that I can send commands to any of the modules in my truck without issue. However, I have to use the 2008 selection to do it. Using 2007 makes the emulator crash for some reason. I haven't seen any issue so far with using it in this manner.
