I'm new here! I just recently bought a 1999 LT Tahoe.....rear end question.....

It doesn't have the G80 RPO code. Does that mean it's just open differential/peg leg? Only one of my back wheels drives the truck when not in 4 wheel drive? I have the 4 wheel drive lever on the floor I just find it funny that it would have open diff peg-leg and still be considered 4X4. Wouldn't it only be 3 wheel drive? lol......sorry if I sound stupid I'm new to Tahoes and 4wd trucks.

Yup it's a 99 with the 4X4 lever on the floor and has LT badges on the sides of it and barn doors in the rear. The sticker in the drivers side door says it was manufactured in 1998. Here's a pic of my RPO codes.

yuppp check it out. sticker says 3/98 but the title shows it's a 99 and I ran the vin and it came back as a 1999 model too.
