I'm stabbing my eyes out with this Tahoe Problem HELP!

well, replaced the dimmer switch, dome light still goes crazy when I push the dome override... I push dimmer button 1 time and the headlights go off and it chimes... I thought you were supposed to push it 4 times.

Dimmer no, good, new bulbs no good, Going to the mechanic... Anything I should be prepared for at the mechanic?

Be prepared to spend some cash. Unless the mechanic has dealt with this issue before, he'll be troubleshooting. Troubleshooting=$
