For the ones that did the corvette servo upgrade, which brand did you guys go with?

Oregon Performance here.

Got the Corvette servo, longer pin, and sonnax overdrive. Longer pin will literally play with your heart strings putting it in. Make damned sure the spring stays on your pin while you're installing it or you'll bend it to heck like I did and wound up walk of shaming it into the auto parts store for a new one.

I couldn't be happier, transmission shifts like a dream.

Now onto rebuilding my transfer case. :okay2:

I called my AAMCO shop where my trans was rebuilt and the guy there has 35 years experience was asked the question about the corvette servo, and he says that it will cause hell of a rattle and the truck's computer isn't matched for the servo and that this will become very noticeable issue when towing and hauling. Anyone have any negative experience with this or heard any warnings about replacing the servo.

Rattle? Ehh?

Corvette isn't a buzzword. It's literally GM OE parts.

I can't speak to any issues when towing. I run a 4-7k pound trailer once a year and it works fine.

It firms up the 1-2 shift a bit as intended. Increases holding power, reduces slippage which reduces wear. You can always adjust shift points and shift speed more to your taste with a tune

Go have Justin clean up your shift points. That will definitely help with longevity.

Regular maintenance is key

Don't do any of the half ass mods like turning up the pressure valve. You'll shred your valve body

There's a TSB about installing a second magnet in the pan

Upgrade factory cooler. Trucool 40k is what I used. HPT has an install kit that's about as close to plug and play as you can get.

Bypass the factory radiator loop if you can, install a t-stat in the transmission. The radiator loop is just a heater if you're in stop and go or working with the trans. Goal is to keep temps low. I spoke with a few builders, they all told me the lower the better. Mine runs between 110 and 120. Higher than that and I flip on my radiator fans. I don't have an oil thermostat on it but it'll be on my to-do list if/when I need to replace my radiator

Corvette servo - better holding power. While you're in there, look into a pin set. Move to a longer pin if needed, there's a few YT tutorials on how to measure tolerances for the second gear band

Drive with a light foot. The v8 in these trucks has the 4l60 at its limits. Keep the torque off it

Is this the TruCool kit you ordered HERE? Additionally, where did you find the mounting kit to use factory line sets? I'm looking to do the same as my truck is torn down right now for paint :)

I got mine from here

tl;dr cut the pass. side line, rotate 180 degrees, put compression fitting on, notch the air dam, install bracket, snap everything in, and you're done.

Oh and use a pipe cutter. Hacksaw will leave a shit edge and metal debris

Edit: If I were to do it again, I'd just use AN lines, bypass the radiator, install a thermostat and bypass filter. But being that at the time, I had JUST replaced my hardlines, I couldn't justify ripping them back out

***BUYER BEWARE!!***
This business is apparently some kind of front for scamming people out of money. IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone there on the phone, have to send NUMEROUS emails to even get ONE reply!! I paid almost $100 for a servo, that I never received and when I tried reaching out to get a refund (because honestly, it's exhausting trying to find a way to reach out to them and not being able to talk to anyone, after almost 4 days of trying to contact them!!) Only to receive an email accusing ME of stealing from THEM!! I mean, WOW!!!! Apparently this is what they do, steal from hard working, honest people, steal those people's money, then try to turn it around on THEM!! WORST COMPANY EVER!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!! Unless that is, you want to get ripped off! I attached a screenshot of their reply email to my post.
