Who cares about "distinguishing" between a Tahoe and Yukon? (And how do the owners of black Yukons distinguish?) Really. The fact that someone at GMC thought it was a good idea to leave them black doesn't mean that it actually looks good.

I swapped my stock appliqués for Esky ones -- and had them painted to match -- on my '02 Tahoe, and it improved the lines of the truck immensely.

If you prefer the look of the black appliqués, then no one can fault you for that. But keeping them black just 'cause they came that way on 1 of 3 shared body styles? If I got replacement appliqués, I'd paint them in a heartbeat.

Dam! BLAST MODE on! I was just suggesting something u took ot out of proportion dude.

I had my appliqués and 3rd brake light painted to match and I'm loving it.

Haha! Whoops. Ok, didn't mean to make it a personal attack. Really. Sorry about that. I was just expressing how I feel about it, visually.

Anyway, I guess I still don't get the plea for "distinguishing," especially since this came up in a thread about lights for our Yukons and Tahoes that are based on the Escalade. :)
