Thing about K&Ns that i personally dont like, the oil... It screws with your mass airflow pretty bad. Give it a while for all that oil to get on the mass air flow, then youll have crappy starting issues. Ovcourse cleaning the MAF isnt hard, but its annoying when you spend good money on a kit... IMO

Ive had this same intake for about 50,000miles now and never had a single issue like this...and I would say I oiled it pretty heavy when I cleaned it...

I got about a 2mpg gain and maybe a little extra pep but nothing crazy
love the sound and everything about it
It has already payed for itself in gas so I cant complain

its been pretty well industry wide decided the MAF issues are only from people who over oil and dont really know what they are doing when they clean it. for those who dont overoil and that follow instructins well, its a non issue.

Ive had mine on for 3 years and no problems. I also took out the extra battery plate from under it to get more air. Was thinking about getting one of the ebay intake supercharger things and see if that makes a difference.

did it yesterday. i love the rumble at like 2200-2300rpms!!! it will take me a while to get used to the throttle body whistling at like 1900 rpms though... kinda sounds like a turbo lol. it took like 2 hours only because i had to recharge my drill. but after installing it on the Caliber, it was much easier. plus the caliber's throttle body is down towards the bottom of the car. anyway, heres some pics, im sure everyones seen them before lol
