Installed resistors to get rid of Service Suspension message after removing Autoride.

Dont worry, I posted this 4 years ago, asked for it to be a sticky and still nobody uses the damn search function. 2 second google search of "autoride bypass" would find it.

I have read that thread previously, so yes I was able to use the search function. I still had questions about the resistor and if I needed to remove the compressor fuses too. What about ride height sensors? Anything need done with that? I have put the resistors on all 4 shocks and removed the fuses, but I still have the service suspension warning.

I recently replaced all 4 of my autoride shocks with Bilstein 5100 shocks. To turn off the "Service Suspension" DIC message, I installed a resistor on each of the wires that used to connect to the Autoride shocks.

The resistors are: 3.9 Ohm 25 Watt 5% wire wound. I bought these on Amazon.

Here is where I prepped the resistors by soldering and heat shrinking some wire on to each side:View attachment 71443

Then I cut the connectors off each wire that used to connect to the Autoride shocks and connected one resistor in each of the 4 corners of the truck. I heat-shrunk all of the connections to protect against water etc.

Then I tucked them up into safe spots and zip-tied them to the frame.
This has successfully turned off the DIC message for me.

What GA wire did you use? is that .10GA?

I have a 2013 Suburban 1500 4WD LTZ that had the Z55 suspension. I switched to Fox Shocks.

I used 4 - 50 watt 1ohm resistors on each corner; my Service Suspension light was still on. I used 4 - 25 watt 3.9ohm resistors. Service Suspension light came on.

Im not sure what to do next. I just thought I'd share my experience. No luck

The fox shocks are awesome. The warning message on the dashboard still pops up. I've jus grown to see it as normal.

I'm sure you could, but I can't help you with that.

If you pull the fuses for any part of the autoride it will throw the message up on the DIC. If the suspension control module above the spare tire gets compromised (like my 08 did) it will short out internally and if you're lucky it will only throw up the message. My hoe almost went up in smoke along with no comms to anything on the CAN bus. Google tahoe suspension control module fire. I completely removed my module after i saw that. Just clear the DIC when you start the truck for the first time.

Just posted about auto ride. I swear to god if I go under there tomorrow and find one of these resistors I’m going to buy a 3in lift kit! Maybe. Mostly maybe. Will have to compare prices. lol.
