My new 03' Tahoe had the rough idle so I replaced the lower intake gaskets with the updated steel core part Fel Pro #MS 98016T. The old gaskets looked like this: http://images1.carpartsdiscount.com/auto/archive/pictures/47727/600/1/P/62F1AFF/chevy_tahoe_2003_intake_manifold_gasket_set.jpg
Except they were green. There was no "clip in style gasket" like I have seen previously. So I took out the 8 individual rubber gaskets and put the new metal ones on the heads. Mounted the intake back up and plugged everything back up. Cleaned the throttle body as well.
I forgot the vacuum line on the evap purge solenoid the first start.
Started it up and it revved to about 3k rpm and starting missing like crazy.
Inspected and plugged up that vacuum line thinking that was the problem.
Now when I start it, it shoots up to 4k rpms and then hangs around 1.5k-2k constantly and is missing.
Its dark out now but I triple checked all of the connections and it is still doing it.
Any ideas?
This is how the bottom of my intake looked, and I am not confident that the gaskets that I used are the right ones?

Did a little more digging and it seems that my intake is an aftermarket piece... Wrong gasket..
Next question is, if I source a new gm intake, can I re-use the lower gaskets or are they just a torque once and throw away?
Or should I just replace the gaskets on this aftermarket manifold?
