In my 2002 yukon, i am getting tired of the consant hum and static that i get when using my ipod with the tapedeck ipod adapter and also the fm transmitter. Are there any products or anything that will hook up my ipod to the stock stereo system without that constant hum? And i am also looking for a new sub, as mine is starting to go i think. Are there any subs out there that are equal or better than the stock one that will run off the same amp, wires and still fit in the stock location?
Thanks

i bought one and got it today. so i remove the trimming around the radio, take out the system and is the area i plug it into obvious, or do i need to switch wires around? and are there any other cables i need to buy, like auxiliray cables for my ipod or anything? it did not come with instructions, and i dont really want to destroy my system.
Thanks

Sorry guys, guess I'd missed the latest questions on this thread until now!!
It's all pretty simple, just pop out the stereo/gauge trim, then I believe there are 4 tabs that you need to push down on the stereo to get it to release and to pull the stereo out, then there should be 2 harness plugs going to the back of the stereo. All I did was pull the out the black plug with red top from the stereo and install it into the white harness plug on the pac unit, then take the black plug from the pac unit and plug that into the stereo and your done!! All you need is a 2 wire RCA plug for whatever signal you want going through the pac unit for the sound to work. Hope that helps!!

so pull out the plug that looks like the one on the unit, plug the unit plug in and attach one of these: http://es.ucables.com/img/extra/35MM-18-MINI-PLUG-TO-R173481-0.jpg and feed the wires down somewhere?

Yep, just like how I described except there are ony 2 tabs holding the stereo into the cradle in the truck( I just took mine out tonight to add another RCA plug wire to the Aux 2 side of the pac), just push down on them at the same time and the stereo should come straight out!!
As for the link to the wire you posted, you will need the male RCA plug version instead of the female version which is pictured in your link!!
