I'm pushing more power then buttons and only have a 20 gallon tank and 4.10 greats and a 6.0L bored and stroked with heads cam LT headers , 4L80 trans , Circle D 2800-3200 stall converter and on the highway I average 520ish to a 20 gallon tank.

Oh and a Walbro 400LPH fuel pump, full dyno tune for 93 octane.

Damn 26mpg Hwy??? That's insane!

What is the walbro fuel pump? Does it pump the fuel more efficiently or did you need that for having a stout engine?

He gets better mileage because he weighs less and runs 93 octane ( yes you get that much more fuel mileage with high octane and a good tune. the tune is the key). I run 88 octane because I have a 32 gallon tank and she's a thirsty girl in the city and that's the mid-grade at my elevation.

He needs the fuel pump to provide his motor with enough fuel running that much power. There is A LOT of air moving through that motor.

Would a stock motor benefit from that pump or just throw a code because of the air/fuel ratio being thrown off?
Highest octane I can get here is 91 but I can either get in ethanol free or E85. I know E85 gives you less mpg but more power. Y'all think an E85 tune would give good power gains for towing and an ethanol free 91 tune (if there is such a thing) give me the best mileage?

Having the pump will do nothing for you. He has the pump because the OEM pump does not have enough power to supply enough fuel with that much power.

I ran E85 for a while and loved the extra power but hated being at the pump that much more. You would be really happy with a 91oct tune if you can afford the gas.

91 and 93 are equivalent. One is adjusted for altitude.

Ahh I see. I'll stay away from the pump idea then.

I think I'll run E85 next tank. Never have so I just want to see how it does exactly and if the gas mileage is as bad as I've heard then that'll be the last of that.

There's a tuner here in Lubbock. Texas Speed Shop and I'm wondering what the difference in their tunes would be as opposed to BB tune. Any thoughts on that? I'm just wondering how much difference could there be in other's custom tuning abilities.

If you can get a dyno tune for sure that's better. But if not Justin @ BB is an amazing tuner and knows these trucks extremely well from mild to a wild build.
