Looking to change some trans fluid in a 2012 Tahoe. Have a couple quarts of Valvoline Dexron VI on hand so I went to the local Advance Auto to pick up some more. The 4 qt jugs of the Valvoline fluid they have, p/n 883572, says Dexron VI and Mercron LV on the label. Is this the right fluid? The Valvoline quarts I have just say Dexron VI on them and I want to make sure the stuff at the store is the proper spec and not some 'all makes all models' type. Thanks

Dexron VI on both labels, you're good to go. It's full synthetic now.

What James said. I just went thru the same thing and the VI is the key. All good.

OK, thanks. That Dexron VI / Mercron LV label on the jug made me pause, the manual on my 2010 Crown Vic which uses the LV makes no mention of Dexron VI as compatible.
