So I got my truck back mid last week, the first day I got it back it was blowing a tad under 40 degrees. By friday it was 45 degrees, didnt use the truck saturday or sunday and guess what? No friggen a/c this morning. Brought it back to the shop, got a call about 1 hour later. The 2 lines that run fron to rear are all corroded! List from the dealer almost 360.00 and from what I hear a PITA to instal. I wound up buying high pressure rubber hoses should be here wednesday. WHAT THE EFF???

Unfortunately that is a common problem with these trucks. I'm a bit afraid to see if that's what is wrong with my '99 also.

At this point.... with the luck you have had so far, I think I would be pricing out the entire rear ac unit. That is about the only original thing left isn't it?

I actually bought the lines from autocoolingsolutions.com, great customer support, will have a better review once the parts arrive. Supposedly you dont have to remove the running boards with these lines and old line which in turn saves a ton of labor. Allegdly these last much longer then factory lines as well. Hopefully everything goes as easy as said........Yes this is getting expensive fast! :(
