After being ripped off by a bad engine builder and my 5.3 giving so much trouble it finally gave out on me last week on a trip pulling my enclosed trailer to WV, 455.00 tow bill for 135 miles! She still runs but I think it warped the crank after the oil boiled.

I've been talking to a engine builder that has a great rating, haven't found any bad comments about him so hopefully i'll have him start on my build, i'm going with a 6.0 stock build, only thing i'm changing is flattop pistons and a small cam, long tube pacesetter ceramic coated headers (PSM-72C2266), y-pipe (PSM-82-1176), maybe a 2200 stall, and of course BlackBear Tune (waiting on them to msg me back on fb), i've heard so many good things about them and I trust they will do a great tune. Depending on how she runs I might upgrade my exhaust from me current 2.5" to a 3.0". If I am missing anything please let me know, pics will come once the shop picks my hoe up. While the shop waits on the new engine to come he will also be installing my 2/4 lowering kit. 12193508_10208746581919855_5078441036065510594_n.jpg 12187841_10208743289997559_1840204759428837296_n.jpg

Your current exhaust (2.5" duals?) should be fine with a 6.0. You will be above the torque rating on the 4L60E if it is stock.

New crate transmission from chevy, the original owner had just replaced it before I got it. So I'm hoping it will hold for awhile. Yes I have duals.

I'm looking for a cam that will give me some torque, also wanting a chop sound but not to wild, what would you guys recommend? Also what size stall will I need, I'm not looking to take the hoe to the race track, just a good daily driver.

If it were mine. I'd put in a good stock size stall speed converter. A big transmission cooler and temp gauge. Keep you eye on that gauge when towing. The transmission will be the weak link.
Cams , there are plenty that are covered on this site. Look around.

Yes I will be towing, maybe once or twice a month, all flat land, I've always liked the choppy cams. When I'm done building my hoe I would like to hit up a few local shows around town, so a choppy tone would be a great ad on for me. I've decided if I need to pull my trailer to wv again I'll just goto my local Chevy dealership and rent a truck.

Sorry that happened to you bud, especially seeing how you just had it rebuilt. That's a lot of money going out of the window all at once. I guess a good cam would be a lunati trucker cam. Look into that one

I think you mean vinci trucker cam..I have one in a 6.0 in my truck..it's a choppy cam based on the videos i've seen..so close to firing it up it's kiling me.. we'll see how much torque it has..vinci has it listed as a torque cam, question is how much can his trans handle. i know I'm gonna have to go 4l80 cause even with a shift kt, cooler and 2800 stall the 4l60 isn't going to hold. torque management is your friend for now.
