Day 10&11 Final frame rough in before it heads out for straightening.
Well, been hitting it pretty intense during the holiday week off. Average of 4hrs of sleep a day. Which is normal when I am home.
I have the frame boxed in all the way up to the factory motor mounts. Thats as far as I need to go. Since most of your frame rotting is behind your motor mounts and so on. It isnt critical that i box in that area. Did a metal density test and the frame horns up front are still very good!
Boxed in the rear shock tower mounts for a clean look and added strength.
As you can see on the driver side frame rail up front, I filled all factory holes except for the front brake line hole which junctions over to the pass side.
Frame is a 1.5'' high on the driver side and about 2* out of square from criss cross

I "v" grooved every factory weld and laid a 3ft bead front to back on front frame rails.
4x8 sheet is slowy disappearing...
So I loaded the frame up today and took it up to a guy that is known for being the best in the biz for frame alignment.
He had her zero degrees and perfectly level in 2 hours. Cost me $110 cash. Well worth it.
I have body mount tabs coming and motor mounts for a 350 SBC this week. I'll weld them in Friday night and then all that has to be done is flapper disc and WALAH!!!
Happy Trails!!
