Well this has been a long day... Vacation and project is going good so far. Frame is very cancerious behind the shackles. But I will weld and do the "correct" patch kits on what is needed.
My plan for tomorrow is to pull motor and tranny before lunch and then clean shop after lunch.

DAY 3: Get motor,tranny and transfercase out in one shot!!

I was pumped this morning!!! Wife is amazed by the progress. I said yea...See how my progress is 3 months from now..
Since I am keeping the carb for my SBC 350. I took that off first.


That 304 alone is heavy...now add the transmission and transfer case to that. I had to counterbalance that tail weight and get it up over the radiator cradle



SHES OUT!!!



Done for today!!! Gonna clean shop real good. Get the motor and transfer case and tranny on CL.
Heading down to the Wing night joint with some of the fellas with LoLo's and the RatRod and Custom Cruisers to talk about our winter projects
Tomorrow I will break rolling chasis down to bare frame.
