Hi guys: I just felt like letting you all know that this summer I conducted a little test on my hoe: from the very first day of my summer vacation (6/16) to the last day before school (8/23) I kept a detailed log every time I went to the pump. Here's the stats:

95 Tahoe, 4 door, 4x4 - daily driver
(4 wheel drive used when camping or pulling a boat)
Tires: Dunlop A/T 245/75/r16
All stock exhaust
No performance mods.

Day 1 on the odometer: 153851.7
Last day on the odometer: 1561195.5

This summer:
-Over the course of 68 days I...
-Spent $641.23 on gas at
-Average price/per-gallon at $3.73
-Bought 172 gallons
-Traveled a combined distance of 2267.8 miles

*And averaged 13.19 miles to the gallon!

Anyway, just felt like sharing, I hope to inspire you guys to conduct similar tests on your own trucks!

Without correcting the odometer for tire size, I'm averaging about 9 mpg with mostly city driving. I cry when its time to fill the truck...

i was getting 16ish mixed out of my rig but since it started missing (old spider assembly was leaking and intake is full of crud) best i was pulling out of it was 12mpg and thats driving it nice...

hope after everything is cleaned up and new parts installed i'll be back at 16+ mpg out of the 'Hoe. Can't say i'll be unhappy with those results. :D
