Just got a ticket for tint and the #^%*%^&% cop made me peel it off

haha ya'll got some good comments. Yea guys this cop was on a power trip. This guy for sure got picked on everyday in his life and his kid's probably do to. He was just an ahole looking to screw someone that was living a good life. The good news is, is that I am bringing the hoe to the tint shop tomorrow morning and getting it redone. The chance of me running into another cop like this is slim to none and if i do so be it then. Tint on a vehicle to me is a must I feel naked without it. Yea it's the law and all but it's a stupid one and there are more people out there doing way worse things than just driving a vehicle with dark windows.

A ticket is a summons to court. It's up to a judge to decide you're guilty. The officer is NOT a judge, and he's NOT authorized to force you to modify your vehicle on the spot.

Of course, if you say anything to that effect, he'll certainly claim your vehicle isn't safe or street legal and he'll impound it.

well i used to have a doctors note from my eye doctor but then it expired and my eye doctor got a political job so he could'nt give those out anymore. But the years I had that note I never got a ticket or pulled over for that once. It's been three years and cops in NOLA do not care about that kind of stuff. I knew one day it would happen and I told myself I would just pay it which I will. I just didn't expect him to make me rip it off

well, if he writes you a ticket and allows you to leave and you get into a crash.. guess who gets in trouble? he does.

and if this eye doctor note was legit, why cant you get another doctor to write one?

Because I have to go to another doctor which I would if I knew another one personally that would write this note. It's not what your thinking it's not some letter with his sig on it saying I can have that. Its a form that he fillls out from the state that is legit. Louisiana is cracking down on this and trying to get ride of it. So it is now harder to get. I think they changed it now to a special brake tag or inspection sticker is what most states have that lets you have the tint now but im not sure.

nope. just wondering why u were surprised by what happend. i guess i expect my day to come any day now (to get pulled over) and have come to accept it.
