I've been kicking around different ideas for a muffler. Been looking at Gibson and Magnaflow mostly.

Finally decided on a big body 3 chamber from Magnaflow. Just purchased, should be here next week.

I just hope I'm happy with the sound. I hate buying stuff like this without being able to hear it first.

Time will tell I suppose.

What was wrong with the the other muffler you had?

Nothing really except it was obnoxiously loud after the headers and removing the cats.

I had the exhaust shop add a smaller Magnaflow style muffler in front of the Jones performance muffler I already had on there and it toned it down quite a bit but I'm still not 100% happy with it.

It still has a little bit of drone so I'm hoping the big 3 chamber will be the winning ticket.

Put a resonator back on? You'll keep most of the tone but lose most of the drone.

I still have the stock resonator at the rear... never removed it.

I vote we see how many other mufflers you can fit under that pig. You could answer every Flowmaster vs magnaflow and black widow vs carven thread with "yup."
