Keyless Receiver Module?

I just bought the truck and the keyless FOB doesnt work in my 2002 Denali. I bought a new one and confirmed that it sends signal at autozone. The vehicle enters program mode, but will not receive the signal from the fob. Im headed to the stealership today to confirm the FCC codes. I have read that the receiver module for the keyless is in the rear hatch and that the wirings at the hinge to the hatch will get brittle and break. I looked at the wiring and it appears to be in good shape.

Where is the receiver? Is it possible the Receiver antenna is faulty or the connections are bad? How can i eliminate the BCM?

Which Fuses and Relays should I look at?

How do i troubleshoot this thing?

I had this problem on a 1997 tahoe so I got into the program stage by jumping the #4 and #8 pin in the OBD plug not sure if it will work on a 2002 Denali

Thanks for the reply but it turned out the brand new fob was garbage. They shipped me a new one and it programmed perfectly.
