Rossen, what codes did you get? The best way to make sure this never happens again is to remove the AFM hardware completely and turn it off in the tune. You could also replace all the AFM parts with the latest designs which are far more reliable and keep using it or turn it off in the tune.

Wait a second, this happen to the 2007 Denali?

Random cylinder misfire could be lots of things, to include AFM lifters, but usually they don’t go all at once and you’ll have a very clear and definite miss in the affected cylinder.
Time for some troubleshooting!

Money-wise, lifters are around $70 each at your local Chevy dealer. Lifter buckets are $20-ish each Head gaskets, head bolts, intake manifold gasket.
Or as swathdiver suggested, you can get the AFM delete kit with new cam, non-AFM lifters, lifter buckets, etc

I know GM fuel pumps usually go to the point it won't start, or idle for a few seconds. But, I have had a few where it gives those exact symptoms. It's always worth putting a pressure gauge on it to make sure.

Indeed. But his truck should not have AFM parts unless it was built before April of 2006. If the valley cover under the intake is flat, he doesn't have it.

Rossen, what are you using to pull codes? Do you have a bi-directional scan tool? Can the scan tool pull up the snapshot showing why P0300 set? Live in Florida by chance?
