You can't replace the bulbs in the 03+ clusters or any of the dash switches without soldering involved. Its a very tedious process, I've done it before. Just ask Tahoewhat, I did his 2005 Tahoe. I did his cluster, AC controls, pwr lock and window switches, and every other switch that lights up at night.

WHAT ?

That sucks !

I've got at least 2 bulbs that are burned and needed to be replaced!
It means I will never have a complete lit cluster?
Finally It's not a so good car. I'm really disapointed.

IS there any chance I can change my cluster for a '02 one ?

Why do these say DO NOT USE IN GM DRL's??

Because you will fry them in about 2 months. I had the 45 LED in mine and the passanger lasted 2 months and the driver was half dead. When I took them out you could smell the electic burn for hours. The place I got them from warranted them out for the 18 Led super brights and I havent had a problem since.

Need a breakdown on this. Map lights are the two round ones in the front right? So that's 2 bulbs.
Dome lights are the ones in the second row? So that's 2 bulbs?
I need two bulbs for my puddles.
which ones are the dome switched lights???
Pics of this would really help thanks.

Map lights are the 2 directional ones at the very front. The dome lights are the ones in the middle and back of the truck that turn on with the courtesy lighting. There are also 2 switched dome lights per unit (4 total) that come on with the switches on the domes. The dome and the switched dome bulbs are all the 42mm festooned. I used the expensive high power ones for the automatic domes, and the cheap, non-SMD for the switched, since I never use them anyways. The map lights are the 194-base, just like the doors and license plate. And the puddles are also 42mm festooned. Get the high-power ones like the domes, you'll need the brightness.

So, if you were doing everything, here's what you want:

7xWLED-x-x (4 for the doors, 2 for the license plate, and 1 for the glove box)

2xWLED-x-6 (for the map lights)

4x4210-xHP6 (2 for the domes, 2 for the puddles)

2x4410-x9 (for the switched domes)
You could probably spend a few bucks more for the SMD-type, like the regular domes, only the 3-LED instead of the 6. In retrospect, I wish I had done this, but oh well. Like I said, I never use them.

And that's it. Did that help?

EDIT:

I guess while I'm at it, I'll post some pics for ya. I also did the footwell LED strips in the front seats. Still gotta find time to do the backs, but other than that, I'm pretty much done with LED swaps. Also, didn't include the license plate light pic because the street lamp behind me made the colors look totally different than how it really looks.

Here's a list for all the 2000-2006 S.U.V.'s that are wanting to do the LED conversion to your interior and puddle lights. My info is coming from www.SuperBrightLEDs.com . I am in no way affiliated with them, but I've been ordering bulbs from them for 5+ years with no problems what so ever. Fast shipping, 1 year warranty, etc.

Doors - 2 - Get the 194 WLED-x-x LED bulbs 120 degree angle. Getting brighter ones doesn't do any good.

Colors:
Red
Amber
White
Blue
Green
UV Blacklight

194WLED-x-xLEDbulb.jpg

Map Lights - 2 - Get the WLED-x6 LED bulbs. Because the plastic shield goes around them, there is no difference if you get the high powered ones, so don't waste your money.

Colors:
Red
Amber
Cool White (Blueish White)
Natural White (Regular White)
Warm White (Yellowish White)
Blue
Green
UV Blacklight

194WLED-x6LEDbulb.jpg

Puddle Lights - 2 - These go under your outside side mirrors. Get the festoon 42mm 4210-xHP6 high powered bulbs. They are a little trouble getting them in and then aimed correctly, but they make a world of difference.

Colors:
Cool White Cool White (Blueish White)
Warm White (Yellowish White)

HighPower6-LEDFestoonbulb.jpg

License Plate Lights - 2 - Get the same 194 WLED-x-x LED 120 degree angle bulbs as the doors. Getting brighter ones doesn't do any good.

Colors:
Red
Amber
White
Blue
Green
UV Blacklight

194WLED-x-xLEDbulb.jpg

2nd and 3rd rows...

Dome Lights - 2 - (the middle bulbs that turn on with the doors) Get the same festoon 42mm 4210-xHP6 High powered bulbs as the puddles

Colors:
Cool White Cool White (Blueish White)
Warm White (Yellowish White)

HighPower6-LEDFestoonbulb.jpg

Dome Switched Lights - 4 - For the left and right side bulbs that come on with the button, you can just get the festoon 4410-x9 LED bulb, because you hardly ever use them and they are $12 cheaper per bulb then the high powered...

Colors:
Red
Amber
Cool White (Blueish White)
Natural White (Regular White)
Warm White (Yellowish White)
Blue
Green
UV Blacklight

SO.... If your going to order all these bulbs, you'll want to get;

4 - 194 WLED-x-x LED bulbs (Doors & license plate) 194WLED-x-xLEDbulb.jpg

2 - WLED-x6 LED bulbs (Map lights)194WLED-x6LEDbulb.jpg

4 - Festoon 42mm 4210-xHP6 High powered bulbs (puddles & Domes)HighPower6-LEDFestoonbulb.jpg

4 - Festoon 4410-x9 LED bulbs (Dome switched lights) 4410-x9LEDFestoonbulb.jpg

Let me know if I forgot anything or need to add anything.

Good luck!!!

Nathan

Ran into a problem with the door reflectors. Does the lens have to come out in order to get the LED in there.

My LED is to big to fit in the hole.
