How did you manually clean the intake valves, what did you use ?

I usually see people doing it with walnut shells and a home made blaster tool with a air compressor, takes time to do it a mechanic is going to charge a arm and a leg

I don't know what the Op did, but I used walnut blasting and had similar results. My intake valves were much worse than his.

If it’s really bad, definitely source out a walnut blaster. I just rotated the motor and used chemtool b12 to soak the valves that were closed. Agitated with miscellaneous bottle cleaner brushes and took 3/8 fuel hose adapted it to a shop vac to suck up fluid.
