I bought a 2015 Tahoe less than 45 days ago and its been in the shop twice for interior leaking. They can't seem to find the issue so their solution at this point is to rip down the headliner and remove the insulation and put silicone on the frame. They also told me that my head room will end up being lower and they will put less insulation in. I have made a complaint to Chevrolet and I don't think they care. I do not want this vehicle and I am requesting another. For 65000.00 they should take their lemon back and give me another one. The dealer told me Chevy will not put me in a new one. I also found out from the dealer that there are two other Tahoes in the USA with the same issue and they can't fix theirs either. The sad part for me as I have owned many Tahoes since 2004 and even the last one I bought brand new in 2012 had electrical issues and they ripped that truck apart and after 5 tries they figured it out and all I got from corporate was we can give you a year of maintenance for free. I told them to stuff it. The truck was never the same, the rugs were ripped up and never went back the same. It was a mess. I guess it's time to move on from Chevy because they obviously don't care about customer loyalty. Very sad......

Some of this doesn't make sense, and I'm a little suspicious here.
Why would the headliner be lower from "less" insulation?

There are only a few places for water to leak. Windows or seams, which are very few. Window fixes are easy, and seams are easier.

Does it leak standing still, or when driving?

I wouldn't walk, I would run from your current service dept. and find another.

BS! It's stuff like this that makes me question buying another GM product. Sorry, man. I agree with the post above. Get an attorney involved. If not, get a big sign which reads, "This Dealer Sells Lemons" and walk in front of the dealership...on their busiest days. Be a very squeaky wheel.

Hi tiggerbad,

We are truly sorry to hear that you are experiencing this water leak concern with your brand new Tahoe. We understand that you are unhappy with the vehicle and you are working with both your dealership and Chevrolet to resolve this concern. We just wanted to let you know that we are here and we do thank you for being a loyal Chevrolet customer.

Sincerely,

Jennifer T.

I am not sure why there would be less head room either, but that is what they told me. They stated that they were only doing what Chevrolet told them to do. I also had told them both times before they worked on it, that if they tear it apart I would not take it back and they did it anyway without my approval. I waiting to hear from Chevy Corporate which I suspect they will just string me along.

Dear Jennifer T @ Customer Care

If you are here for me than you should replace this defective vehicle with a new one. I don't think this should be my problem now or in the future. You designed it and there is obviously a flaw and it should not become my problem at 65000.00. I just want it replaced with one that doesn't leak, and you can take this one and figure out where the problem is for all the other people that will have to deal with it. I did hear from the Dealer that I am not the only one in the USA dealing with this certain issue. Now that would be the noble thing to do for your LOYAL CUSTOMER. Thanks

I would do a Google search for Lemon Law Attorneys for the state in which you live. They have the experience and expertise in these situations. I visit Chevy boards and Jeep boards as we own both and it seems this is the only resolution. The manufacturers do not want to work with their loyal customers. Its a shame that you have to resort to that to get your issue resolved. I would not want the Tahoe either. Lots of issues can occur from water leaks. Good luck and keep us posted.

I agree. Lawyer and once you get the new one find a new dealer. Sounds like an incompetent service shop in addition to a problem with the vehicle.

Update: They have blocked me from all their other forums because I obviously have made someone mad, but I am only stating the truth. I guess they don't want people to know whats going on. The dealer has called and said they will replace my vehicle and I don't know if its Chevy Corporate or the Dealer doing it...... I hope I'm not being played with... Will keep everyone posted. I have to call them back on Friday.
