I was rooting for you and your ideas were spot on generally. It was a leak caused by a badly screwed on oil filter.Hundred bucks says it's the little oil cooler block-off plate/oil cooler line manifold right above the oil filter. They all leak there eventually. If it's the block-off plate, replace with an ICT Billet plate with the matcing o-ring seal. If it's the cooler lines, replace the gasket with OEM and give it the thinnest coating of black permatex. Let the permatex sit overnight to cure fully before starting. Be very vigilant of the torque spec on those bolts.
I would have went back to whoever changed my oil if I developed a leak afterward. Even if it turned out to be something else, I’m starting with them. Glad it was a simple fix.lol yes it’s called a bad oil change.
I actually did document the oil cooler line replacement here. I replaced the left front wheel hub and the drivers side motor mount at the same time. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/thr...ahoe-yukon-today.44151/page-4276#post-1771420I was rooting for you and your ideas were spot on generally. I’m curious though Chevy dealer recommended an oiler cooler line replacement not related to my initial visit. I’m not too familiar with parts you are discussing but if you have pics with comments it would be appreciated. I’m having the transmission line replaced. The exhaust bolt broke off and of course the oil cooler line eventually needs replacement.
Thank you.
