Like stated, DO NOT PUT A LOCKER IN THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL. You'll just cause more problems then you have now. Now, rear diff wise, I'd look at Trutrac's personally.

If you do want a locked front, you'll have to go SFA. Pirate4x4 is where I've gotten pretty much all of my Solid Axle Swap information from, and I continue to research on there. Lot's of great info related to drive train and suspension modifications.

If it helps any, I'll be using Fabworx's kit. Along with their 4inch front springs

I second the TruTrac. Awesome setup. I have it in the back of my 97 and its a beast. Cool thing about it is that its designed to be daily driven yet there when you need it. Built to last I can tell you that.

:nono: That's great and all but he's got a full floater rear, there is no TruTrac for it nor the front 9.25 IFS.

I think the ORU kit looks like shit compared to the other 2, plus it's more expensive.

ive also converted it to 3/4 ton running gear, out of the same year truck, so its got the full floater 14 bolt rear end and the 3/4 ton front diffthanks guys

Apologies for highjacking with this question....

I'm in the beginning info gathering stage and starting to think of swapping to 3/4 or going solid.

This is also my dd, but I would like to toughen it up for the trails (assume it will only see light to mild) and I'm adding a winch bumper, hd bumper in rear and other gizzmos that are going to add to it's already portly weight.

With the above in mind, should i be thinking Solid or upgrading the IFS?
