I just want to know how desperate people are that they are paying $5-10K over list for vehicles that sold for $5-10K under list only a year or so ago. Limited production vehicles are one thing, but for SUV's and trucks that they make millions of? Do people have that much free cash that they can't wait 6 months? This reminds me of the toilet paper shortage, only prices are $70K, not $7. Strange times......

GM is expecting production to get much better come 2022. So let’s hope so.

A dealership was selling $5K over MSRP towards the beginning of June. A week ago MSRP no markup.

Yup, I got mine with no mark up. A week later went back to have my wheels locks and rack installed and sales manager showed me they started marking them up about 5k more.

There are countless numbers of things when you look back... you say to yourself..... "Boy I wish I'd bought this back then"
There isn't many big ticket items out there that aren't going up in price.... and sometimes fairly dramatically...

Have to agree and with declining quality from t-shirts to home appliances many a time I wish I'd bought two or three when they were worth bringing home.

I cleaned up your post. No POLITICS on here of any kind or you will be gone immediately.

Ordered and received my 2021 Yukon AT4 with everything possible except the captains chairs. Despite being eligible for GM employee pricing I still had to pay MSRP. But I was one of the lucky ones to at least get all the options I needed, like the premium tow package, etc. Mine was one of only eleven AT4's built that week at the factory due to chip shortages.

So although I paid MSRP (first time in my life), I got it back on the back end when I sold my 2013 Yukon Denali Hybrid with 211,750 miles on it for $16K, immediately, to a private party.

I got what I wanted, in a market with very short inventory, so I am happy. Just turned over 6,000 miles on the new AT4 and love it. Drove it from Seattle to Corpus Christi, TX and back.
