I'm new to the lowering scene, but I'm tired of watching that gap between my rear tire and the fender :)

I have a 01 Tahoe with autoride, which I wish to keep as I pull trailers quite a lot.

I'm looking for a kit that is easy to install, preferably with new shocks as my stock ones are ready for a change too.

Which sets do you guys recommend me to look at?

unless you dont mind a autoride indicator on dash (pm me we can try a fix before you buy anything) i would do the belltech 2/3-4 adjustable kit for the autoride trucks. Here is a link to my store on that kit
http://www.tbssowners.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=86

also i have a friend that works at gm and can give you the best pricing on the autoride shocks. Its a little expensive but he will save you money. Lets say you didnt care about the autoride anymore no problem front/rear belltech street performance shocks would be $240 extra and bolt right in.

any other questions just hollar.

If you want to keep autoride thats the kit to get.

honestly i would use your money toward replacing the autoride shocks if they have high mileage and then go from there.

you can also use the helper bags inside the coil springs yes

I tried getting a quote from GMpartsdirect, seems new shocks all around will cost me a fortune :) I guess I'll start by replacing the rear shocks first.

Thanks for the help, I'll buy that kit once I've sorted out my shocks first!

GMpartsdirect gave me a discount I could live with, so I've ordered the parts from there before I read your post.

Thanks for all your help so far :)
