Steph and I were on vacation in Texas. Woke up with a flat. Swapped the spare on, drove to DT in Kyle Texas, 3 min from the hotel. They patched it and the manager wouldn't accept any payment. Told me to have a safe rest of the trip and dont worry about it. I did not buy the tires from them since there isn't one local to me, so it was just a dude being nice.Went to my appointment at Discount Tire this morning. Waited an hour for them to clear the backlog ahead of me (all walk-ins, so why bother with an appointment?), then they told me that they didn't actually have the tires there yet and they wouldn't until tomorrow.
The guy I worked with when I got there was super apologetic for not double-checking when I first arrived, so I couldn't get angry with him - we all make mistakes. And to make it right, they refunded me the cost ($248) for the new TPMS sensors they'll be installing when I go back on Wednesday.
So, while I'm bummed to have my time wasted and not have any wheels to show for it, they did their best to make it right so it's all good and I'll remain a DT customer.
