I have a 03 yukon and I want to install a a new alarm/remote start. I've seen some models for around $150 and i can do the install myself, but I'm wondering if anybody has any expierance with installing one. I don't want to have any conflicts with the existing system. any suggestions on systems or install tips would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer viper but I'm open to anything.

I have a Viper 5701 2-way alarm/starter. It needed a $80 bypass to work and install took 5 hours at a professional install shop for $175.

I am very happy with the unit and what I like the best is I can upgrade to the LCD model 5901 for $150ish by simply switching out the antenna and new remote

I just installed an Autopage CS730 2-way remote start and paired it with a Omega GMDLBP bypass module. Took me about 5 hours to install.
