lost steering wheel control HELP

i've got a pioneer video deck proffesionaly installed and when i received my truck back, half of the controls on steering wheel dont work! i was like WHAT :mad:!! i asked the installer and he said i would need a 200$ harness to gather back my controls. Has anyone re-wired em somehow. i need to know asap . thanks

i'm pretty sure the harness is plug and play but is there anyway of doing it myself. Instead of having to go through ebay and all that stuff

its not too hard to program once you get it installed. what is your headunit's model so i can look up the module you need. i got my module for 42$ on ebay and took me about 30 mins to install and program.

Yep it's pretty easy to install, first it depends on the bypass module they installed. If they used a PAC module the steering wheel module will plug right into it. If they used the GMOS adapter you will have to manually wire the steering wheel control module, but it is still really easy. You only use 3 of the wires, red to acc, black to ground, and green to your BCM module located under the steering wheel. Good luck with the install, hope this helps.
