I had just cleaned the throttle body about 2500 miles ago but I will and make sure again. I was stationed at JBER and loved all 8 years, by far the best assignment yet. I have been to Eielson many times and there is some good pike fishing up that way. I was reading there are a few different solenoids, which one would be my issue, the 1-2 shift?

He said he would check the throttle plate again so it has not been put off the table just yet. 2500 miles is a lot of miles depending in the conditions. Does this your truck have EGR? If you don't know look at the VECI label under the hood. It will be listed right under the BOLD and LARGE "CATALYST" .

I wouldn't think anything trans related yet. These transmissions usually throws a bunch of codes with TCC failures as they are closely monitored. Not saying it's completely out but, I'd look towards engine drivability first.

While under the hood also check your battery static voltage (battery at rest / no loads/ nothing on). What's the voltage? Check it again with engine idling.

With the truck turned off the battery voltage is sitting at 12.56. With the truck running the voltage is 14.40. Which is a good thing.

You can't find it because it's not applicaple to your truck (not listed in the VECI label). That eliminates a faulty EGR valve.

1) did you check the throttle plate/bore for gunk?

2) do you have a scan tool?

The throttle body inside looks really clean, and I do not have a scan tool. A buddy of mine at work has one. Would it show codes even though the light is not on? Below is all I got out of the throttle plate.

I wasn't interested in codes really. The scantool would be used to check LIVE DATA values. If your fried's scan tool can do that let me know.

Specifically Long Term Fuel Trim and Short Term Fuel Trim Percentage values at idle and also at cruise at 40 mph.
