Well Im currently having engine problems and it's got fairly high mileage so Im looking at the LQ4 now but need more info please

Im pretty new to these now, from what I've read it's pretty simple swap?
can a stock 4l60e work with it? how bout keeping it 4x4 as well or will the transfer case be in the way?!? I haven't seen much on that or am I out to lunch??

I have an opporunity to get a LQ4 at a good price but waiting to hear if I'll get a pcm with it. Can I just turn the stock 350 pcm or that wont work worst case?

Well I know I need to do an intake manifold on it as I have in my other thread. But it has high kms on it and have a misfire. I know the misfire could be result of the manifold leak but Im doing a compression test Monday when I have sometime. I just figured if I can be a LQ4 for a good price why not. Except I've been reading a few other threads on here and gtm400. And in Ontario we need an etest every 2 years well a guy brought up the point that it may not pass with it having the swap done.

Kinda in a stalemate right now cause Im having a hard time tracking down just a replacement 350 vortec

Yeah I've found a couple places up here that have rebuilt or new motors but its all over 1800 and if I can get a motor with less then 100000km for a good price then I'd rather throw that in. Just trying to keep the costs down as much as I can. That's why I thought bout the LQ4. I can get the motor, PCM and wiring for 1200 with 80000km. The truck was written off.
