I just went to midas today to ask about magnaflow and they said the package is 289 with tips, then I went to another store here called Columbus custom exhaust and they said $365, the actually had magnaflow Tips in the store with the brand imprinted on them. Which is the better deal, or is it a nobrainer?

The nobrainer is to put a muffler on and dump the exhaust under the truck eliminating any tip at all, and I recommend a Flowmaster 50 series

Im with him ^^ You can get a flowmaster catback for those prices. I personally dont give a rats ass if my tips say donkey dick or nothing lol The turn down would give a bit more rumble and also eliminate any clearance issues you may have when gettin low/

With flowmaster, does the lower series ie 40 means Louder sound? I don't want really loud, so is the 50 series quieter. I'm trying to do one of the two on Friday. I have an appt set up, just don't know which one to go with

I just replaced my cats after one went bad with some Eastern Catalytic (cheap) high flow and a 50 series flowmaster. Nice clean rumble and not too much cab noise. It is definitely more responsive after the swap, but it could be partially because it was throwing codes.

The 50 series is a good muffler for what you want. It isnt annoying at a constant speed. It will let you know when you get on it though.
