I have, yes! I even added it to my 2004 Denali. I can tell you for sure it sounds good! I wish I could find the videos on here of the guy with the 5.3 that added the exhaust. He was happy with it. I have several videos on youtube of it on my 6.0.

The 5.3 and 6.2 have the same block with different piston stroke lengths or something to that effect.

@kses123 Thanks for the follow up, and the PM too.

Can you please post link of it on Youtube of your own and/or the other guy.

Also, where are you finding the mufflers / exhausts? You have a source?

Thanks Lee.

The 6.2 head's exhaust ports should be different then the 5.3. I would double check prior to buying the headers or exhaust manifolds.

Why do you say they should be different

6.2 uses the L92 heads, the 5.3 uses the GenIII. I believe the exhaust ports do not line up to the same header.

I cannot find any videos of it on the 5.3, just the videos of it on my 6.0 2004. I actually got my exhaust for really cheap off of ebay. I had to have a y-pipe custom made to install mine. It is much easier to add them to the GMT900's since they are made for them.

No need in changing headers or exhaust manifolds. 07 and 08 had the same coupling at the flex pipe I believe, so and 07 and 08 6.2 exhaust with bolt right up there at that flex pipe.

I can't find what the connection looks like here on the newer models, but it doesn't really matter. An exhaust shop can connect it however you want it there if you don't find the perfect drop in match.

my video: fast forward if you'd like to about 1:55. Just look at the other videos of what I have to hear what it sounds like. These videos are old and made years ago on old cameras etc, so it isn't the best representation of the sound but you get an idea.
