Maybe not all 6.2's have the bad lifter bore/ bearing wear issues

Read the TSB carefully first, your VIN is probably inside the window of suicidal 6.2L V8s.
Or, you could just go in there blind ...
I'd want to be able to smack anyone that tries to slow me down with a piece of paper that basically says I'm gonna get what I want or else.
Wonder how this affects those who got an engine replacement in 2023…

I don't know what the statistics are, but there are many 6.2 engines that will not see those problems (knock on wood) our 2022 has 18k, so far so good. If something does happen I will certainly be reporting it to the Forum.
My 2015 6.2L Yukon Denali was great for 30K miles. Then a valve spring broke at 30.ph in a turn, and knocked me down to 7mph.
Towed to Dealer Repaired in 4 days.
Ran great till 48K Mike's. Valve/lifter broke on me . Both sides replaced. 2 weeks!!

Runs hood at 79K now. Trading in cause its gonna happen again....

I called GM Directly at 800-462-8782 and told them what I found online about the "Customer Satisfaction Program N232413430 Oversized Lifter Bores" as mine seems to be an affected vehicle. My build date was 11/16/2023, gave them my VIN and they said my vehicle is not affected. Also asked about the rear suspension bolts not being properly heat treated (#N232415910) and they said that my vehicle was also not affected

Any way to confirm that the vehicle was one of the ones unaffected.
Not asking for me - asking so everyone else can get their own answers.

They never said how; but my vehicle wasn't listed as "Open" in their system and they did need my VIN. I explained to them that it should've said, "Vehicles manufactured prior to 00/00/0000 are not affected. But the bulletin is very vague.

TSB doesn't seem to have the affected VIN ranges so I guess I'll have to call the GM as one of the previous posters did.

I'm at 13k miles now... It would probably die already had it been affected? :) or is it false hope?

P.S. Just chatted with GM customer support an after reviewing my VIN that are not seeing any recalls associated with it. I don't fully trust this because this was not an official recall, right? Just some kind of "Customer satisfaction program"...

They don't like recalls. Issue a TSB or program to fix it AFTER it fails.

All VIN’s within the year model range are affected, there is no “ good or bad” window, it basically says to fix it after it breaks.

That's not how I read it. It says only vehicles with an Open Vehicle History Screen are affected. It also says certain vehicles are affected, not all. Also read Engines used for replacement must be specially ordered by dealerships and allocated to specific VIN numbers. No way every 6.2L is involved. People have already called with their VIN and told they are not affected. You will get a letter from GM if you are.....

I guess after reading this I should look at the Ford Expedition because they never fail? Haha
