I cannot figure out where a few items go here...

This grounding strap comes off the harness going down across the front of the engine. The battery negative cable goes to the side of the block around there. Does this attach in the same place?cacbd0ecd398b841c109ca2c0edd2432.jpg

This bracket was attached to the back of the steering pump (I believe). I cannot figure out how it was oriented.

No clue the purpose of this. I recall it was attached to the passenger side head. This is the only orientation it would fit... or does it go on the back of the head? I cannot remember nor do I know what purpose it serves.

This was in my bag of bolts for the AC compressor / bracket. I cannot figure out where it goes though? Short bolt, has a washer on it.

Not sure on that grounding strap. Really, if it's a ground, it can go anywhere on the engine or frame. Where does the other end go? You should do a Big 3 Upgrade anyway.

On that PS bracket, the single hole end goes to the side of the engine block. You'll see a hole for it.

That odd plate is to protect the rear of the driver side fuel rail. It fits the front passenger side because the heads are identical and just flipped around. It goes in that same position, but on the opposite corner.

That short bolt is either for the ground strap on the upper LH corner of the passenger head or it's the bolt for the engine block side of that PS bracket. I've always thought that PS bracket bolt was black, though. It having a washer and being in the A/C bolts bag tells me it came from that side of the engine so it's likely a ground strap bolt.

Hey @iamdub thanks for the help! I got most everything figured out cept that black bolt. I will investigate your tip...

I will also do big three upgrade. I should probably install a newer high output alternator when I am at all this too. Not telling how much longer my 20 yrs old 240k mile factory original will last.

I have a stud on behind passenger side head. Nothing is attached to it. Curious what it is for.

Also I noticed a grounding strap from firewall by brake booster. It is not connected either. Doesn't reach side of block behind power steering pump. Does it connect to the ground lug on block by rear of valley cover?

Otherwise getting close! Nothing is torqued down though just set in place waiting to look up torque specs. If I fired it up parts would fly everywhere [emoji1]d5ca9b08d72e21ba0c243685fa7a925b.jpg0c9c2cdc24f9a6e03e3ac4922ce18688.jpg7b5c5736b4b9a4f32e64f99cbf167e86.jpg

Ah crap, the diagram makes sense now. I found there's a 3rd grounding point on back of engine, above transmission bell housing and below cylinder head. Somehow I need to squeeeeeeeze my tiny little hands back there now, clean up the paint on that point and secure the engine ground strap to it.

The fuel line bracket and grounding for that harness / G104 must also hook into that same point on the engine?

That ground strap from the firewall near the brake boost should bolt to the back of the driver side cylinder head
