i just burnt an entire tank full to empty (maybe 1 gal left)and got about 250 or 260. and thats on a 22 gal tank with the 5.3. yea i get pretty ****** gas mileage

2WD.
mixed driving.

A far cry from the 16-17 I was hoping for on my mostly 45 mph+ mostly freeway commute

damn AK i dunno how you get that... on combined highway/city driving i barely manage 230-250 a tank... just a k/n drop in and 22's... and then it fills about 22 gal.

I drive like a granny, I guess....

I'm all stock, don't race around much, don't exceed the speed limit much...but still, I admit it does sound like I'm doing well above average with a bigger engine to boot. I bet once the snow flies I'll be down in the 12's, though.

I did an almost 700 mile round-trip road trip at the end of the summer, with a VERY full car, and averaged a hair under 18 mpg. I was shocked.

95 Tahoe 4 dr 4wd, 350 with ported and polished heads high rise Summit intake, ram air. 3 1/2 inch dual true exhaust shorty headers. Stock trans and rear-front differential. I get around 16 mpg Hwy and around 12 city.

I've been thinking of trying the Pure Acetone in my gas. I've read a lot on it and have a friend who works for Shell gasoline. He said it works fine and will not damage the engine if used properly...

17 MPG mixed driving, 15 city.
