Either way, I might attempt wiring into the switch contact in the driver door module and isolating with a diode. Doing this I will eliminate the extra cost and wiring of timer relays and such; also using he factory controls so they work exactly as intended from GM. Basically it will work off of the switch instead of supplying power to the mirrors. I would not recommend this to anyone who does not have extensive soldering skills using precision irons on circuit boards and such. I will bring an update if/when I do it and whether or not it works.
I definitely wish you luck on the project! Take pics and post up!
I will for sure, its looking now though that it won't be this weekend, and I might end up finding another door module to try it out with so I don't ruin my current one.

And I am not trying to be overly critical but I have installed alarms solid for 20+ years and there are ways of confirming your alarm is armed instead of having your mirrors fold in, just saying
There are different unique ways for visual confirmation; mirrors in/out, airbags dropped/raised, etc. If you are implying that there is a right way and a wrong way, well that is simply not true.
If that is not what you were implying, than I really don't know what your point was.
Sounds to me like more hate and jealousy of people who go above and beyond to do the quirky things we want to do.
