Thanks man! I am waiting on my upper control arms and lift bags to come in. Going to change all my steering and suspension components first. I'd like to get it done in the next week or 2 though.
My Denali has 227,000 miles on it right now. I plan to build a 408 to put in it, have the heads cnc ported, a decent cam and a stall converter. Don't want to get carried away because this is my daily and I do occasionally tow with it.
I have 2 project cars I'm about finished with. A 1994 Accord Wagon and a 1993 Honda Civic. I'm not an import guy by any means, just thought I'd build a car or 2 to get it out of my system.
My Civic
My wagon. It's complete torn down to get painted. Sending it next week if the painter is ready.
Both of those cars were in horrible shape when I got them.
Been a while since I updated. Well I had had problems with my factory stereo and in a previous post installed that Pioneer double din. That didn't fix my problems, the D pillars had these tweeters smashed into the cones and wedged in behind the plastic panel. The wires were halfway twisted on the terminals and touching. Even after I removed the tweeters I still get nothing out of either side, I'm thinking that the factory amp is on its way out.
I was having some "chatter" when the torque converter was trying to lock. Went to drain the fluid and the hole pan was full of aluminum shavings.
Took forever to find a transmission. No one around me wanted to rebuild mine so i found a wrecked Escalade ESV and was able to get the transmission out of it. Before i put it in i installed a corvette servo.
I did pick up a set of led tail lights and a set led reverse lights.
I did get my 3/6 drop installed along with all new steering components. I still have to fix the torsion key and get an alignment and a few small things before I can drive it again. It's been down since July.
Thanks man, i am really pleased with the stance. I'm'm not sure what it's measuring yet. It started raining on me while I was taking these pictures, but I plan to measure it as soon as I get done with the alignment.
Been a while since I posted. Had a ton of stuff going on over the past months and a bunch of problems with my Denali.
Fosscore to answer your question about fender height. The rear is 31.5" and i had the front down to 29" but raised it up back to 31" if I'm not mistaken.
Here is some pictures I took right before winter
How it looks now in winter mode.
I will have some more updates here in the up coming weeks.
