Received an update from Fedex - my crankshaft will be delivered tomorrow. It arrived in my shipping area this afternoon - to late for delivery today.

On a separate note, I'm also working on my son-in-law's 2009 Honda fit (what a tiny little truck - yes in Maryland it is considered a light duty truck - Ha Ha). He has some damage to his passenger side Headlight assembly and bumper cover. We ordered a new bumper cover and it arrived today. Get this - they folded it in half to fit in the shipping box. It's not useable - I guess I could try to reshape it with a heat gun but I shouldn't have to. It's getting sent back.

That's how it's done, at least last time I checked on one for a friend. There should be instructions on leaving it in a warm place, in the sun, etc., to straighten it out. Never bought one, but they're supposedly "shape-memory" plastic.
That’s what I’ve always heard too, otherwise they’d have to ship them freight which would cost about $300 shipping. Supposedly they straighten themselves out after being warm awhile.

@Fless @Rocket Man Thanks guys. No Instructions but I did hear back from the seller and he said the same thing. He said to put it out in the sun. No sun today and it's cold out, so the cover is now sitting in my family room. Hit it with a heat gun, as suggested by the seller, and it appears to be straightening out.

I used to work for a vinyl window company and sometimes parts would get bent in shipping. After the window was installed, if it didn't reform on it's own, we would go out in the field and carefully use a heat gun and the parts would almost snap back into place, it had a memory. It was kind of weird watching it. I'm sure that bumper will be the same. Just be patient and don't overdo the heat gun, you can damage it if you get it too warm.

Spent the afternoon measuring and grinding (as required) the rest of my piston rings. Used my piston ring setter to ensure rings were perpendicular for proper measurement. Top Ring - .018, Second Ring - .020, and oil ring rail - .015.

Will be checking connecting rod bearings to crankshaft clearances tomorrow. Depending on time, I may install piston rings too. Still trying to understand the oil ring installation requirements. May try to find a video tonight.

Which rings did you get? Plasma moly top rings by chance?Are your second rings the taper face or the new Napier cut? There’s a pretty good section on installing the rings in the book I have- I think you said you have it too?
