I have a 95 tahoe, but it has some sort of loss of power when i give more than minimal gas. If i push the gas in harder while its stumbling it stumbles and has no pick up until it downshifts. When giving it light gas between 40 and 50 it will stumble and almost bump. I have replaced the u-joints as they were a problem for me 6 months ago, this is nothing like that. When i start it up it runs great for about a minute or so. Could it be my fuel pump? I replaced the coolant temp sensor and therm last week, and my tranny was replaced less than 60k ago, i serviced the tranny last month and the fluid was very clean. Im not 100 percent sure but i think the problems started after i ran out of gas on my way to work one day. Any advice?

IAC/TPS will send a code. Fuel pressure regulations will not (that I know of) ... I would do the filter first. It probably needs it and it's heap and easy.

yes

Replacing the fuel filter is my next plan. Wouldn't a fuel filter decrease my high rpm performance as well though? My issue is usually closer to idling.

unknown at this time.
Yes. It sounds like it is being starved of fuel so if you do fuel filter check the fuel pressure and if it is fine you should check your regulator and/or clean your injectors. It is possible that dirty injector may not pulse properly letting the required amount of fuel in but when you hit WOT the pulse width is big enough that it overcomes some stickinest. When you ran out of gas some leftover stuff may have evaporated and gummed up something. IMO.

You might want to check your distributor. On my 92 burban it would run for a while, then die or lose power at the most random times. Replaced the in-tank fuel pump... still problems, pulled the distributor and she has ran great ever since. Not sure on the 95s but the 92s have EFC and it will not let the injectors spary correct if not getting a good signal from the distributor. Are you only having problems with it in gear or will it do it in park.

check your EGR valve if u have one... I just cleaned mine because it would die randomly and buck under throttle... it may be stuck open dumping to much exhaust gases into the engine choking it giving the impression that there's not enough fuel being delivered...

My EGR gave me low speed drivability problems. It drives perfect with the hose plugged. No check engine lite. But, mines a '92.
