Hey guys, Im new to the forum and just picked up my first GM product. This week has been crazy, I got new head lights, tail lights (BIG PROPS TO 1sikyukon FOR THE TAILS), wheels etc. I do not want the day time running lights at all. I just want to use the LED's that I already. (The ones that came preinstalled with the headlights) what do you guys think? ALSO, DO I NEED LOAD RESISTORS FOR THESE HEADLIGHTS? There was nothing with the instructions on it.

Next week, it will be debadged and the front GMC will be black :)

is there a way to ditch all the chrome around the license plate area? Other than that, nice looking ride.

Not so sure I like it either. I would probably have to replace those pieces all together. would be nice to have the ass end all black. My passenger mirror wont come out anymore... Keeps making a whining noise when I push the button.

Yea take the back chrome add on pieces off it looks cleaner all black. I love the after market head lights... I usually don't like after market head lights but these look clean! Hopefully they work with HID's.... and my passenger mirror first made a noise when folding in/out, a few weeks ago they quit working! I went to my dealership and they said -I- physically broke them so it's not going to be warrantied...

x3 on the backend chrome pieces being taken off but I do like your ride a lot! :waytogo: You might check back there because those piece might just be stuck on with 3M tape or some sort of adhesive. If so, it'd be very cheap and easy to remove and return back to stock and leaving you with an all black lift gate again :)

Those 2 chrome pieces put on there go on TOP of the OEM pieces and are definitely stuck with 3M tape

Then that is an easy fix. Apply heat to the pieces (will be even easier when the weather gets warmer) using a blow dryer or heat gun, take some fishing line or some tool that will not scratch paint and remove the chrome pieces. Once they are off you will have adhesive left over. Get a 3M adhesive eraser wheel from your local auto parts store and go to town. Once complete, wash/wax/polish the areas real good and you're all fixed up. Depending on how much 3M tape the installer used you should be done within 30 to 45 minutes tops :waytogo: Just be sure to apply the heat as evenly as possible as not to get the painted surface too hot and you'll be good to go ;)
