Last night turned into a shit show real quick. Met up with a few buddies to go to a car meet in Tigard(about a hour drive).
Got right past the Woodburn exit, 20 miles from where the meet was, went to pass someone and when I got to 85 all the sudden it felt like I was driving on the rumble strip with all 4 tires, aggressive vibration and shaking. Got to the side of the freeway and couldn’t see anything wrong underneath. Pulled back out on the highway and it started doing it again at about 30mph+. Luckily there was a weigh station turn off right there. so I went limped it to a safe spot and found my front u joint blew apart where the driveline connects to the diff. Of course no tools on me or any of the other cars. My step brother drove to a parts store a few miles away to grab an 11mm so I could get the driveline pulled. Well thanks to my Texas speed y pipe I couldn’t get it out and couldn’t get the y pipe apart. Also did I mention it was pouring down rain this whole time? As I was soaked head to toe and frustrated I finally got ahold of my dad as a last resort to bring the truck and trailer but also had him bring a sawzall to cut the driveline out if I didn’t fit on his trailer. (When I had the 20x12s it was to wide to clear the fenders on his flat bed) and with no tape and not remembering how much it wouldn’t clear before he brought the trailer just Incase it would. Well it is still 2” too wide to fit on his flatbed. So sawzall it is. Got it cut in half and pulled out and finally got home after 4 hours of sitting on the side of the freeway soaking wet.

My buddy recently parted out a Tahoe and gave me the front driveline. Fingers crossed it will work. But if not they are like 40 bucks at the wrecking yard so I really wasn’t worried about having to cut it out.
