nice thanks for the help...I'll have to try this next oil change which is really soon. How confident are you that it will fix my prob?
pretty confident. ive done a few with same complaint. when i do oil pans i replace the oring as preventative maintenance.
My oil pressure seems fine on startup. Could there be something else causing this awful noise on cold starts.
oil pressure may seem fine, but the oring being either cracked or shrinking in size will cause the oil pump to bleed off pressure, and not allow oil pressure to build up as fast at startup.

Going to revive this thread again.....

I don't know if it is me being paranoid since I haven't fixed the o-ring or if it is really a problem. But here goes....So I was driving today and had to get in the throttle really ******* my yukon and I could swear I could feel a little knock in the pedal....could this be caused by the o-ring? I usually baby my yukon everywhere so this may be why I haven't heard it yet....

Anyone have any suggestions?
