Will be getting a factory sub box that goes in the rear quarter panel and I'm wanting advice on a decent sub that's not going to break the bank. Don't need anything too fancy as I'll just be using an old leftover amp I got. Just want a little extra bass, nothing earth shattering.

It all depends, how many watts is the amplifier you have? And what is the depth of the sub box?

You could go for something simple such as a RF P1 that is 150watts rms or if its more powerful then that, You could get a JL 8w3 which are powerful in small spaces

the amp is an old pos profile california 2400. (no laughing) it's been laying around for awhile, so i figured i could at least get some use out of it. it's supposedly rated at 200x2 at 4 ohms.

from the thread it seems he wants to use the stock location so a 8W7 is outta the question.

if your gonna use the stock location with that amp which probably does more like 250-300rms bridged b/c its 200x2 PEAK. a cost effective 8inch:all under $75

boston acoustics g108-4
JL Audio 8W1v2-4
Rockford P1S48
Lanzar MAX8
Infinity Reference 860
PowerBass Xtreme XL-84

the powerbass would be the #1 option imo but the mounting depth might be to deep for the stock location

a small class D, heck even a 200 watt will be fine.

Cool...
Thanks for your help..
Lookin to spend some money but cant decide what I wanna do yet first.
Either gona get some rims to put on or replace that factory 8 w/ amp and get the windows darker.
Decisions decisions....
