im still sayin its the intake mani since its the 5.7.

Just because it's a 5.7 vortec does not mean his problem is a intake manifold gasket. Common issue? Yeah. Might his be leaking, yeah. But that IS NOT the only issue right now. Stop spewing false info when trying to help someone out.

Now, let's actually help the guy out

Did your truck start to over heat by chance? Is your "Check Engine" light on? If you have access, can you pull the codes for us? My educated guess is a blown head gasket.

If this was my situation, I'd remove a head and send it to a machine shop and see what they say the condition of your head is in. Also, I'd inspect the block for any cracks that could have been caused by possible over heating.

But before you do anything, I'd pull codes if there are any present and report back.

one of the plugs? hmm... school me here.

It has to do with the way the intake is designed and not just one plug is the make or break but not all of them either.

Very important now. which plug number is that? Is that the only plug contaminated? Details are important.

Actually a brand new vortec engine from gm costs $1900 from Jegs but let's see if we can get by with a few hundred in parts first and get you schooled along the way. And I really mean new not remaned or rebuilt.
