I would have to say, since it is working somewhat with no electronics, bit not at all with them active, something electronic is opening up the fluid pathways. I don't think its a problem with any hard parts, or clutches. What electronics were replaced?

Just a little update. The ground strap in the picture is actually able to be seen through... and where it connects it actually pulled right out. So off to the parts store after I get my boy from school.

Well. Final update. It's been cold as Frick. Done little work here and there.

I ended up with a rather expensive ornament. Pissed off about it but I'm going to part the truck out as it gets warmer. Ended up ruining another wire and truck won't even start so it's gonna wait til it's warmer to fix that to move it in limp mode.

However I did upgrade... back into a vehicle loan but the truck is amazing....

2004 Suburban. 150k miles. Picked up for 7k. It's practically flawless. It's amazing.

unknown at this time.
That disconnected connector was likely the speed sensor. It not working properly can really screw up your driving and kills off the speedo as well. The blue lock locks whats it is attached too. Any yellow colored connector is airbag related stuff. You want to test for system voltage on the pink wire on the tranny connector. Check this stuff before dropping the pan to inspect for wire damage inside.
